This course is designed to teach basic methods of handcrafting jewelry from sterling silver. Sketchbook designs are employed to help students reach their desired goals. Individualized and assisted techniques are used to assure the success of each student. Sawing, soldering and filing are the procedures used to create rings, chains, bracelets, pendants and earrings. A relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere in the classroom makes this course fun. This is the standard silver fabrication course that is offered at an academic level. A $10.00 lab fee per student is required to cover the cost of consumables.

Harold Bosco received an MA from University of MA studying fabrication, forging and casting metals. He has worked in silver and gold for 29 years, including fine gold repair and custom work. Harold exhibits at arts and craft shows throughout New England; has won awards for his designed jewelry, teaches classes and continually accepts apprentices.
