Join us for a day of basket making and get a start on your holiday gifts. We will be making a square tote basket which has shaker tape handles. The basket has a filled bottom and is woven in two colors. Students will learn to carve their own rims and skids. The basket measures 9” x 9” x 8 1/2”. Join us for a relaxing day of basket making.
Judith Nevin has been making baskets for more than 20 years. She has traveled throughout the country researching baskets and their history. Judy is extremely interested in Native American and Shaker basketry and many of the baskets she has created herself reflect her interest is these cultures. She continues to study with basket makers from all over the country and has taught individual lessons, groups of school children and classes at Fletcher Farm School.
