March 16 to March 17, 2019
Do you have or had a pet that holds a special place in your heart? This class gives you an opportunity to create a wool sculpture of your favorite pet while learning or improving your needle felting skills. Instruction will be given on different wool types, wool processing, and felting needles so students can use the correct tools and materials when creating their unique sculpture. Planning, designing, and producing felted shapes will be discussed. Various felting techniques will be taught so that students can realize their own ideas. Sue will provide the wool so if unusual colors are desired, please contact her before the workshop.
Sue Carey first started raising sheep 30 years ago and became interested in using her sheep’s fiber for needle felting over 20 years ago.
