Explore the possibilities of working with silk using many different techniques to add color and texture to our scarves and silk fabric. Techniques such as eco printing on silk using plant materials, "rusted" scarves, shibori silk on a PVC pipe, ice dyeing, as well as a few other surprises will be demonstrated to create scarves and silk fabric that is new and exciting and can be used in any kind of artwork. We will also explore the creation of silk vessels. This class is open to all who have a love of silk fabric and can be very helpful to quilters and mixed media artists too. Each silk scarf or piece of silk fabric will be unique and one of a kind.
