Our mission is to create an environment of encouragement and supportive care for our seniors, enabling them to live with dignity and maximize their personal potential. We are one of the few senior communities to offer a continuum of care that supports seniors through health and life transitions, minimizing the effects of change and promoting joyful living.
Since 1998, award-winning Village at Cedar Hill Continuing Care Community in Windsor, VT has built a reputation for the highest quality of care and innovative senior living solutions. Today, the Village at Cedar Hill is still owned by founder Mary Louise Sayles and her daughter Patricia Horn.
Our mission is to create an environment of encouragement and supportive care for our seniors, enabling them to live with dignity and maximize their personal potential. We offer our residents and their families peace of mind that someone is always around to lend a helping hand, no matter the task.
Perched on a beautiful spot in the Connecticut River Valley, we offer pet-friendly assisted living, state-of-the-art memory care, short-stay rehabilitation, skilled nursing care, and comfortable & dignified end-of-life care. It’s all here, on one campus, with the same loving family of attentive professionals who provide the very best care at whatever level you require.
“My mother is a builder of beautiful places where people can live,” says daughter Cindy Horn. “Quality of life is extremely important to her. She made sure every place we lived in was a beautiful place, with lovely outdoor spaces, a view, gardens, and great food.” With those principles in mind, Mary Louise has built Cedar Hill into one of the few senior communities offering a continuum of care that supports seniors through health and life transitions, while promoting joyful living.
Some of our independent residents came to the Village at Cedar Hill to enjoy a lifestyle free of the responsibilities of home ownership in our breathtaking new 20 apartment addition; others joined The Village because they wanted a little extra help with daily tasks from our highly trained staff. Everyone enjoys the delicious meals, live entertainment, exercise classes, cocktail hour, games, and outings.
Specialized Memory Care is available for individuals with Alzheimer’s or related dementias, catering to the individual requirements and preferences of each resident.
Cedar Hill Health Care Center offers compassionate short- and long-term round-the-clock skilled nursing care for up to 39 residents.
Need a break from caregiving? Respite Care enables the family caregiver to run errands or take a break without worrying about leaving your loved one alone at home.
Come home to Cedar Hill, where each resident is treated as family and regarded with respect, care, comfort and support. We welcome you to visit and see, for yourself, what makes Cedar Hill special.
