ClearLake Furniture was created in 1992 by Brent Karner, master woodworker. Brent honed his skill in the art of fine woodworking at the world-renowned North Bennet Street School in Boston. His commitment to detail and excellence is built into every piece of furniture. Experience first hand by wandering through their workshop, talk with the craftsmen, and browse their one of a kind 3,000 square-foot gallery.
Here’s the perfect complement to our hand-crafted hardwood furniture. We’ve partnered with Norwalk Furniture from Ohio to provide the same custom-crafted option and first-rate quality as our own pieces.
The Quality Shows
Like our own fine furniture, every Norwalk Furniture upholstered piece is built to last, with exceptional craftsmanship: Superior Coil Spring Suspension with elevated front support edge adds life and comfort to each piece.
Made entirely in the USA-Hardwood frames, ships in 35 days, great design, hundreds of fabrics and leathers with customizable options on frame styles, seat and back cushion comforts, leg and skirt styles, pillows and more. Lifetime warranty on all frames.
Each seat is individually supported and floated over the frame.
The frames are made from Kiln-dried hardwood maple, which eliminates warping and adds longer life under home humidity.
The built-in legs are virtually indestructible and won’t loosen.
All back and seat cushions are polyester-wrapped, which eliminates covers from slipping around the foam core and adds an extra measure of plushness for seating comfort.
The collection is available in your choice of hundreds of fabrics and leathers.
Each piece comes with a lifetime guarantee on the construction.
Visit our Vermont Workshop
Each piece of furniture is handcrafted by one craftsman using techniques such as interlocking joints, splined miters, and dovetails. Our skilled and knowledgeable craftsmen will take the time to work with you and visit the stacks of hardwoods so you can personally select the wood for your furniture. Also, since one craftsman attends to every detail of your furniture from start to finish, you can visit the workshop at any time to chat with your craftsman and see the progress of your piece. After each piece is completed the craftsman signs and dates the piece with your family name creating a personalized heirloom that will last for generations to come.
You are welcome to tour our Workshop in Ludlow, Vermont at any time. You can talk with our craftsmen, ask questions, and observe their fine workmanship in action. When it comes time to build your piece of furniture, you can help select the wood that will be used to create your piece. Whether you are simply browsing, or watching as the last coat of finish is applied to your piece, our goal is to ensure that your experience at ClearLake Furniture is as pleasant as possible.
