New Okemo Valley Magazine Announced
For those who missed the Chamber mixer at the Grafton Inn, we wanted to give you a quick update on Okemo Valley Magazine. The chamber has pulled together a terrific team with Lynn Barrett, editor and publisher of Southern Vermont Arts & Living, as editor; Paul Stevenson, Harvest Moon Design, as graphic designer; and Duane Kish, advertising sales. Both Paul and Duane worked on Okemo Magazine, so you can be assured of top quality all the way. The main thing we want to convey is that Okemo Valley Magazine is a lifestyle publication focused on attracting tourism and business though engaging storytelling, beautiful photography and clean design. It will showcase leading tourist attractions, special events, people, places and products of the Okemo Valley. It will be a lure for people who don’t know about the region and for people who are curious and passionate about the region. This includes outdoor adventurers, foodies, gardeners, artists, architects, theater goers, gallery hoppers, hikers, bikers, skiers & snowboarders, golfers, boaters & fishers, campers, and those considering moving here, bringing a business here or just visiting—who want to know all they can about the area and its people. It is also an opportunity to highlight Okemo Valley as a special destination wedding location.
The first issue will be out before Columbus Day and go through Spring. Duane may have already been in touch about advertising, but the rate card with all the details can be accessed HERE. On the editorial side, we’d love to hear from you about what you’d like to see featured— especially human interest stories, new businesses, places to go that might not have received a lot of attention, fun adventures, what’s new in the arts, food, drink, etc. Of course, we’ll also be reaching out, but please feel free to email or call Lynn at (email@example.com; 802-258-3992, or call or email the Chamber at firstname.lastname@example.org, 802-228-5830.) We picked up a couple of great story ideas at the mixer, so looking forward to hearing more!
