The Okemo Valley is nestled in the Green Mountains of South-Central Vermont.  Okemo Valley serves the Towns of Andover, Cavendish, Chester, Mount Holly, Ludlow, Plymouth and Weston.  We are a wonderful four season destination.  We welcome you to explore our Four Seasons of Fun. 

Don’t miss the President Calvin Coolidge State Historic site in Plymouth or take a class at the Fletcher Farm School for the Arts and Crafts in Ludlow.  Visit our natural gems like Buttermilk Falls or take a hike on Healdville Trail and marvel at the beauty. 

We’re home to Okemo Mountain Resort renowned for its’ snow making and grooming or visit the oldest continuously operating cheese producer in the United States, Crowley Cheese in Mount Holly.

Come enjoy a play at Vermont’s oldest Award-Winning Regional Theatre, the Weston Playhouse or shop the original Vermont Country Store in Weston.

We are your one stop shop for Golf at Okemo Valley Golf Club, Okemo Valley Golf Academy or Tater Hill Golf Club. 

Take a ride on the steam train to Chester.  While there explore shops, galleries and antiques or go to Cavendish to find a yarn shop, a bakery and an old fashioned general store.

Scenic Route 100

Route 100 has been described as one of the most scenic drives in all of New England.  Affectionately known as the “Skiers Highway,” Scenic Route 100 travels through the heart of the Green Mountains and is home to some of the best outdoor recreation in Vermont as well as an abundance of historical and cultural attractions.   Visitors from all over the world find they can spend weeks exploring this thirty-one mile stretch that travels through the towns of Weston, Ludlow, Plymouth, West Bridgewater and Killington.

Scenic:

Scenic Route 100 encompasses four-season beauty and is internationally known for its incredible fall foliage.  With rolling hills, a meandering river, crystal clear lakes and ponds, mountain and valley vistas, unspoiled forests, and quintessential Vermont towns, this route has it all.   On the southern sections, visitors can follow the Black River, passing the sparkling waters of Lake Rescue, Amherst and Echo Lakes.  On its northern section, travelers delight at the incredible mountain views while the more adventurous leave their cars for an easy stroll to Thundering Brook Falls or a quick gondola ride up the state’s second highest mountain, Killington Peak.  

Historic and Cultural:

Scenic Route 100 is also full of rich history and home to dozens of cultural landmarks that make it a truly unique journey.   Take in a play at Vermont's Oldest Professional Theatre, Weston Playhouse; enjoy a tour of Historic Weston Village; visit President Calvin Coolidge’s birthplace and Historic Site; and make sure to leave time to linger and shop at the legendary Vermont Country Store.   These examples are just a few of the many historic and cultural offerings available along Scenic Route 100 which also include numerous art galleries, an artisan cheese factory, a monastery, historic grist mills and more.

Recreation:

Outdoor recreation abounds on Scenic Route 100.  Home to some of the best skiing and riding opportunities in the northeast at Okemo Mountain, Killington and Pico Mountain resorts, and Mountain Meadows Nordic & Snowshoe Area, Scenic Route 100 also offers endless of activities in the summer and fall. Mountain bikers and cyclists are drawn to the extensive trails and winding roads; golfers flock to play some of Vermont’s most popular and challenging courses including Vermont’s #1 Public Course; hikers come to explore the renowned Long Trail; boaters spend the day paddling and exploring the numerous lakes; and anglers try their luck at any number of the neighboring ponds and streams.  All ages can enjoy a stroll around a classic town green, kids pass their time at one of the many local playgrounds and anyone can explore a waterfall on a wheelchair accessible nature trail.
